Paul Ferguson has another tip for us today from Warwick, Anoint in the 16.40, ridden by Ryan Moore.
Like yesterday, the day’s only selection comes in a maiden and this time in the shape of Anoint (4:40) who is fancied to land the second division of the Warwick Racecourse Maiden Stakes.
The selection, who is closely related to the same connections’ Lincoln winner Penitent, hails from the same yard as last year’s winner and he shaped with plenty of promise on his sole start at two.
The Pivotal gelding finished runner-up to Seal Rock, who has won his only start since, and whenever William Haggas and Ryan Moore team up it is worth paying close attention to.
The pair have enjoyed a healthy 37% strike-rate over the past five seasons, winning 21 of the 57 races in which they have paired up.
Tuesday’s selection:
4:40 Warwick Anoint
