Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday – Recital in the 3.45 at Leopardstown; 4/6 Coral
After yesterday’s magnificent action at Aintree, the main focus today turns to the Flat with Leopardstown staging the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes, in which Recital (3:45) is fancied to concede weight all round and maintain his 100% record.
Aidan O’Brien’s Montjeu colt really impressed when winning his maiden at Navan last October and he followed up the following month in the Group 1 Criterium De Saint-Cloud, scoring by 5 lengths.
Fame And Glory won that race as a juvenile and took this on his first start at three, before landing the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial en route to Epsom, and I expect Recital to follow the same path after victory here.
