Paul Ferguson kicks starts the week with one selection from the evening Windsor card; Purification in the 7.20 (Windsor).
John Gosden has started the season really well and, having provided us with a couple of maiden winners last week, I’m sticking with the Newmarket trainer who can strike again with Purification (7:20) at Windsor on Monday evening.
The selection ran twice as a juvenile and the form of his latest second is strong enough to win most early season maidens.
He was beaten a length by the smart Genius Best, with Sadler’s Risk back in third (twice a winner since) and the fourth has won subsequently, too.
After falling out the stalls and showing signs of greenness, he picked up really well in the straight and he looks open to plenty of improvement, especially now he goes up in trip to 1m2f.
The Hurricane Run colt still holds an entry in the Epsom Derby and he can provide an in-form Gosden with his tenth winner of the month.
Monday’s selection:
7:20 Windsor Purification
