Paul Ferguson has one tip for us on Friday; Tatispout in the 3.40 at Stratford, ridden by Andrew Tinkler.
Just beaten over course-and-distance recently Tatispout (3:40) is fancied to gain compensation at Stratford this afternoon for trainer Charlie Longsdon and jockey Andrew Tinkler.
The four-year-old filly was a bumper winner in France and has improved gradually with each start in Britain. On her penultimate start at Huntingdon the daughter of Califet finished third to Cucumber Run, who won again next time.
Last time she was short-headed by Remember Now, who was doing a good turn for this column on the eve of the Cheltenham Festival, and she may well have ‘bumped in to one’ on that occasion as the winner looks one to follow.
Up 5lbs for that narrow reversal, the selection remains potentially well treated and it seems only a matter of time before she gets off the mark for her current connections.
