FA Cup & Premier Lge Team News

Check on all the latest injury news ahead of this weekend’s Premier League and FA Cup fixtures before you place your bets.

FA Cup;

Man City v Man United
MAN CITY talisman Carlos Tevez (hamstring) will be absent for a month while Kolo Toure (suspended) and Jerome Boateng (knee) are out of defence but City are boosted by the return of Micah Richards. Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans are suspended for MAN UNITED while Darren Fletcher continues to be sidelined with a virus but Rafael should be fit to regain his right-back berth.

Bolton v Stoke – Sun
Mark Davies (ankle) remains a doubt for BOLTON ahead of Sunday while Daniel Sturridge is cup tied but Ricardo Gardner is available and the Trotters have no new injury concerns from last weekend. STOKE will continue with Thomas Sorensen in goal over first choice Asmir Begovic for the FA Cup games while Danny Higginbotham (knee) and Mamady Sidibe (Achilles) remain out.

Premier League;

Birmingham v Sunderland
BIRMINGHAM should see the return of Jean Beausejour, David Bentley and Roger Johnson while Nikola Zigic (groin) remains fifty-fifty and duo Obafemi Martins (groin) and Martin Jiranek (toe) are out. The loss of John Mensah (groin) is a blow for SUNDERLAND but both Anton Ferdinand and Kieron Richardson are fit despite knocks and Craig Gordon is available for emergency use.

Blackpool v Wigan
BLACKPOOL’s David Vaughan (hip) is set to be out for longer than first feared so Keith Southern will continue to deputise while David Carney (shoulder) is ruled out for the season, ‘keeper Matt Gilks is fit for selection but the club have no other injury worries. WIGAN’s squad is pretty much injury free and only Maynor Figueroa is unavailable through suspension.

Everton v Blackburn
Jack Rodwell could make a return for EVERTON but Tim Cahill’s (foot) lingering injury could see him rested again, Seamus Coleman (leg) is a doubt and Mikel Arteta (hamstring) will have to wait one more week. Steven Nzonzi is suspended for BLACKBURN while Gael Givet (contract) will sit out and Ryan Nelsen (knee) is injured but Junior Hoilett and Christopher Samba will play.

West Brom v Chelsea
Graham Dorrans (ankle) will definitely miss out for WEST BROM this weekend but is edging closer to a return and Somen Tchoyi should be back in action. Jose Bosingwa (virus) is CHELSEA’s only doubt and boss Carlo Ancelotti must again decide whether to go with Fernando Torres or reinstate Didier Drogba while Yossi Benayoun has said he is “not ready for ninety minutes”.

West Ham v Aston Villa
WEST HAM have terminated Benni McCarthy’s contract while Kieron Dyer could earn a call up and England pair Matt Upson and Scott Parker will play despite being substituted for fatigue last week and Jack Collison could make a comeback but only on the bench. Nathan Baker and Gabriel Agbonlahor have both shaken off groin strains for ASTON VILLA and are available.

Arsenal v Liverpool – Sun
ARSENAL have been buoyed by the return of ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny, who goes straight back into the side ahead of Manuel Almunia (knee), and also he return of Johan Djourou but Alex Song remains a doubt (knee). LIVERPOOL are without defenders Dan Agger (groin), Martin Kelly and Glen Johnson (both hamstring) and question marks surround recently absent Sotiris Kyrgiakos.
