John Higgins is 8/15 fav with bet365 to beat Shaun Murphy in the big quarter final match of the China Snooker Open on Friday.
Higgins, the top seed, beat Ricky Walden without too much trouble but Shaun Murphy was given a few scares by amateur Li Hang in Round 2. Murphy had good chances coming into this tournament but must be on top of his game to overcome Higgins – he is Betfred’s 6/4 outsider. A confident 5-2 or 5-3 victory for Higgins are both priced up at 9/2 by Stan James.
Mark Selby should progress against Ali Carter while Peter Ebdon is a tempting 1.9 (9/10) with Betdaq to come through against Judd Trump. Ebdon thrashed Robertson in Round 2 and should beat Trump, even if the latter did out O’Sullivan. Ebdon to win by at least 2 frames is 6/4 with Stan James.
