As Burton and Northampton meet, a winner is hard to pick so go down the path of goal contributions from both teams, 4/5 with Stan James.
Burton’s defeat to Barnet in League Two at the weekend means the Brewers are far from safe while Northampton’s 13-match winless streak leaves them just four points clear of danger. Subsequently the pair’s meeting at the Pirelli Stadium takes on extra significance, as the victor, should there be on, would take a huge stride towards safety.
The hosts are 6/4 favourites but after Saturday’s home reverse against the struggling Bees they are far from a sure thing even against a Cobblers outfit, Totesport’s 2/1 outsiders, on such a dismal run.
Instead we’re turning our attention to the goals markets and more specifically Stan James’ 4/5 for both teams to score. Both teams concede plenty of goals and Northampton, despite having failed to win in 13 attempts, have scored in all but two of those matches so are fairly reliable in attack.
Elsewhere, Accrington, at 4/5 with Coral, should climb into the play-off places by registering an eighth straight home win against patchy Southend while Wycombe are 11/8 () to boost their promotion hopes with a victory at Hereford.
Recommended Bets:
Both teams to score in Burton v Northampton – 4/5 (Stan James)
Accrington to beat Southend – 4/5 (Coral)
