Live on Skysports 1 & 3: Thu 07.00 & 21.30: Angus Loughran previews this week’s China Open and The Heritage and picks his best bets.
Y.E. Yang may arrive in China this week exhausted but looks the one to beat in his bid to retain the China Open he won in Bejing last year and can be backed at 12/1 with Totesport to do so.
Those looking for a bigger price selection may be tempted by Skybet’s 55/1 offer on Welshman Jamie Donaldson who looks to have a far better each way chance than those odds suggest, while, with course form always an important factor, I like the 40/1 (bet365) available on Liang Weng Chong who won here last year on Asian Tour and although this week represents a step up in class, knowing the track so well is a major advantage.
Hitting the ball straight is a huge advantage at the Hilton Head venue for The Heritage on the PGA Tour this week and 2009 Open Champion Stewart Cink looks a decent value each way bet at 45/1 with Coral.
Brian Gay at 35/1 with Blue Square, winner here in 2009, also appeals in what looks a real open event. Luke Donald has an obvious chace and is top price 9/1 with Sportingbet and Ladbrokes.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
