Live on Skysports 2 & 3: Thu 07.00 & 20.00: Angus Loughran previews this week’s Texas Open and Malaysian Open and picks his bets.
After one of most exciting Masters in years, the players move onto Texas and Malaysia this week with Charl Schwartzel the Masters Champion making the long journey east to Malaysia..
This course will suit the South African (16/1 at Sportingbet) but although he has won back to back in South Africa, it will take a monumental effort for him to win in Kuala Lumpur this week.
I like the chances of Rhys Davies here after his great effort in Morocco only losing to David Horsey in a playoff; he is a big price at 33/1 (Totesport) while Martin Kaymer, who blew out at Augusta, will be hard to beat at 8/1 (Betfred) on a course layout that will suit his game far more.
Adam Scott has a superb chance of retaining his Texan Open title. He did little wrong on Sunday and looks great value at 12/1 (bet365) while one player who looks sure to be in the winners enclosure shortly is Spencer Levin who is decent each way price at around 40/1 with Coral.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
