Warrington moved to the top of the Super League table with an impressive 24-6 triumph against defending champions Wigan at the DW Stadium and the Wolves also now head the regular season betting, Stan James cutting Tony Smith’s side from 2/1 to 11/10 to top the pile.
Michael Maguire’s Wigan are out to 6/5 with bet365 to again finish first but despite Friday’s home reverse the Warriors retain Grand Final favouritism at 11/8 (Paddy Power), ahead of Warrington, who are in to 5/2 from 3/1 courtesy of Betfred.
It’s considered a two-horse race for top spot, with St Helens at 10/1 with Skybet third in the betting behind Wigan and Warrington but the Grand Final market sees Saints given a bit more of a chance, Stan James trimming their odds to prevail in the Old Trafford showpiece to 11/2 from 13/2 after they defeated Bradford 28-16 on Friday.
Leeds and Huddersfield’s Grand Final odds meanwhile, remained relatively steady over the weekend, at 17/2 (Paddy Power) and 12/1 (Boylesports) respectively, despite the pair racking up comprehensive victories against Wakefield and Hull KR.
