Wigan have hardened as Super League regular season favourites following the impressive 20-6 triumph at league leaders Huddersfield. The Warriors, now the only team without a defeat, moved into second and are now 8/11 with Stan James to top the pile while clipped them from 11/8 to 5/4 to again win the Grand Final.
Warrington now occupy top spot following their incredible 82-6 triumph over Harlequins and they’ve been cut to 21/10 from 5/2 with Betfred to finish first although their Grand Final odds remain unchanged at 3/1 ().
Nobody else is given much of a chance of clinching the regular season crown, although Sportingbet moved St Helens in from 14/1 to 10s after they overcame Leeds at Headingley. Saints are now 13/2 with Stan James to lift the Grand Final trophy but Huddersfield Giants’ odds are moving in the opposite direction after the home reverse to Wigan; Nathan Brown’s charges out to 14/1 from 7/1 in bet365’s regular season and 10/1 (888Sport) for the Grand Final.
Also on the drift are Leeds, whose Grand Final odds are now as high as 9/1 with Betfred. The Rhinos have lost three of their opening half a dozen, culminating in Saturday’s defeat against St Helens and subsequently, bwin make Brian McDermott’s side 25/1 to be the regular season victors.
