Unbeaten Wigan were clipped slightly in the Super League regular season betting, Stan James pricing them at 5/6 to top the pile following the narrow 14-12 success against Hull. The defending champions remain favourites at 11/8 with Betfred to retain their title by again emerging triumphant in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
Bookies believe Warrington will be the main challengers, a fourth victory in five for the Wolves prompting Skybet to cut them to 5/2 to finish in first place and quoting Tony Smith’s charges at 3/1 for the Grand Final.
Table-topping Huddersfield were the big movers, a comprehensive 50-16 victory against Bradford nudging them in to 9/1 from 12s in Totesport’s regular season betting and the Giants are an 11/1 shot with Paddy Power to win the Grand Final.
On the drift are St Helens, who were beaten 27-16 at home by Harlequins. Saints are given little hope of regular season glory by Sportingbet who have pushed them to 14/1 from 15/2, although at 11/2 (Coral) their Grand Final chances haven’t been dismissed quite so readily.
Leeds meanwhile, have slipped to 7/1 from 6s at Stan James in the Grand Final betting despite easing to a 46-12 victory against Salford.
