Quinz is 16/1 (from 40/1) with Coral for the John Smith’s Grand National, following his win in Saturday’s Racing Post Chase. Last week’s Fairyhouse winner, The Midnight Club, is 10/1 favourite for the Aintree showpiece, ahead of Big Fella Thanks at 12/1.
“Connections of Quinz seem tempted by the idea of going to Aintree this year, and we reckon the seven-year-old would have a major chance if they do take the plunge,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Elsewhere, Celestial Halo’s win in this afternoon’s National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell gave a boost to Mille Chief’s Kingwell Hurdle success last weekend, with the latter 14/1 for the Champion Hurdle.
“Not everyone was impressed with Mille Chief’s narrow success over Celestial Halo at Wincanton, but backers of the former for the Champion Hurdle will take heart from the Fontwell result,” added Stevens.
