Arsenal v Sunderland
ARSENAL are without striker Robin van Persie (knee) for another fortnight and Theo Walcott (ankle) is out while Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) is “unlikely” to play, in Arsene Wenger’s own words. Danny Welbeck could be a shock inclusion for SUNDERLAND but Lee Cattermole (back), Bolo Zenden (calf) and David Meyler (knee) are all sidelined.
Birmingham v West Brom
Curtis Davies is in line to make his BIRMINGHAM debut while Craig Gardner and Alexander Hleb should be fit to feature but James McFadden (fitness) is not ready, Enric Valles (foot) is injured and Scott Dann (hamstring) remains out. WEST BROM have a nearly clean bill of health accept for Marek Cech, who continues to struggle with a groin injury.
Bolton v Aston Villa
Joey O’Brien and Ricardo Gardner are back playing for BOLTON but are a number of weeks away from playing due to fitness but both Gretar Steinsson and Jlloyd Samuel are available if needed. ASTON VILLA are without suspended Jean Makoun and Carlos Cuellar (hamstring) but will draft James Collins back in while Luke Young could be fit following his knee injury.
Fulham v Blackburn
Matthew Briggs (calf) will remain out for a few more weeks for FULHAM and Steve Sidwell (knee) is looking at another fortnight out but Diomansy Kamara could be fit again. David Dunn (groin) is facing six weeks out in BLACKBURN’s treatment room, captain Ryan Nelsen is suspended but Christopher Samba will go back into the team following illness.
Man City v Wigan
Kolo Toure is suspended for MAN CITY while Shay Given (shoulder) and Adam Johnson (ankle) are definite absentees but Nigel de Jong, Vincent Kompany and James Milner could all be recalled, while Micah Richards should continue at right back. WIGAN have no new injury problems as the only worries, Emmerson Boyce and Callum McManaman , are both fit.
Newcastle v Everton
NEWCASTLE are without suspended Ryan Taylor, injured Dan Gosling (knee) and a very doubtful ‘Joey Barton’ (thigh) but Shola Ameobi (cheek) will play with a mask and Stephen Ireland is set to make the bench after a long absence. Marouane Fellaini (ankle) is to sit out the rest of EVERTON’s season and Tim Cahill (foot) is also out for a month.
West Ham v Stoke
Robbie Keane (calf) and Jack Collison (knee) are out for another two weeks for WEST HAM but Victor Obinna should feature after he sat outlast weekend and Scott Parker should be fine despite a shoulder scare. STOKE’s only definite absence is Mamady Sidibe (Achilles) and Jermaine Pennant will come back into the side after being rested last weekend.
Liverpool v Man Utd – Sun
LIVERPOOL are boosted by the return to fitness of Dan Agger, Fabio Aurelio and Raul Meireles but Martin Kelly (hamstring) is out for a month while Andy Carroll faces a late fitness test. MAN UTD are without central defenders Rio Ferdinand (calf) and Nemanja Vidic (suspended) while Park Ji-Sung (hamstring) is sidelined but Patrice Evra should be fit.
Wolves v Tottenham – Sun
Matt Hamill has declared himself fit for WOLVES and Michael Kightly is back in training but wont feature here while Stephen Hunt (calf) is a doubt. SPURS will be without Gareth Bale (back) and Younes Kaboul (knee) while Jermain Defoe (ankle) could be a surprise inclusion but Rafael van der Vaart (calf) may be rested for the Champions League.
Blackpool v Chelsea – Mon
BLACKPOOL are without influential midfielder Charlie Adam and striker DJ Campbell through suspension but they will welcome back Elliot Grandin, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Stephen Crainey. CHELSEA are relatively injury free and Jon Obi Mikel could earn a place on the bench after dropping out of last week’s warm up but Alex (knee) is not ready.
