Paul Ferguson has another tip today; follow Richard Lee’s charge Hector’s Choice, in the 16.25 at Haydock..
Though he faces his stiffest task to date over fences Hector’s Choice (4:25) is fancied to follow up his recent Ludlow success at Haydock on Wednesday.
A useful hurdler, the seven-year-old already looks like making a better chaser after just two outings over fences and 2m4f on decent ground are his optimum conditions.
After finishing third off 124 on his fencing bow, Richard Lee’s charge turned over the useful Phidippides earlier this month and can make it two from three over the larger obstacles, despite facing stronger opposition.
Impressive Galway winner, Invisible Man, and the useful Nikos Extra head the likely dangers, but both arrive here on the back fairly lengthy lay-offs, whilst the selection comes here at the top of his game.
Wednesday’s selection:
4:25 Haydock Hector’s Choice
