Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Timesawastin in the 2.20 at Ffos Las, ridden by AP McCoy.
Though he may not be entirely straightforward, there is no doubting that Timesawastin (2:20) has plenty of ability and he can follow up last week’s course-and-distance victory in the opener at Ffos Las on Monday.
Evan Williams’ charge chased home Grade 1 winner Hidden Universe on his racecourse debut in a Leopardstown bumper before joining current connections and he finished third to Owen Glendower and Problema Tic on his first couple of starts over timber.
The son of Curtain Time made all here last Tuesday and, though he veered left up the home straight, he had plenty in hand of Tenby Jewel, who re-opposes today.
His trainer clearly holds him high regard and puts his waywardness down to him being backward. A 7lb penalty shouldn’t stop him backing up his recent success.
