Paul Ferguson has two horse racing selections for us on Wednesday; Call The Police (1.45 Punch) and Zemsky (2.50 Muss).
Willie Mullins will be one trainer really hoping Punchestown passes an early morning inspection on Wednesday, as his top-class Fiveforthree is set to return from a 657-day lay-off in the opening contest.
The County Carlow handler also saddles Call The Police (1:45) in the Follow Us On Facebook Hurdle over 2m4f and the lightly raced eight-year-old is fancied to score on his first try at the trip.
The son of Accordion finished runner-up to stable-mate Final Approach on his first start for Mullins last month and he gives the impression that he is ready for the step up in distance.
At Musselburgh Irish raider Zemsky (2:50) is fancied to land the hunter chase for trainer Ian Ferguson, who used to train him before he had a spell with Nicky Henderson.
Whilst trained in Lambourn, the eight-year-old won a couple of novice hurdles and he has since landed a couple of points since returning to Ferguson (had previously won three times in that sphere between December 2007 and April 2008).
Wednesday’s selections:
1:45 Punchestown Call The Police
2:50 Musselburgh Zemsky
