Silver By Nature is the new 14/1 joint-fav (totesport) for the Grand National after he ran his rivals ragged to land the Grand National Trial at Haydock.
Lucinda Russell’s nine-year-old produced a fine round of jumping to beat the running-on Ballyfitz by fifteen lengths and the latter has also been cut to 40/1 (from 66/1) for the same race.
“Silver By Nature clearly has all the attributes needed to win the Grand National but would probably need the ground to come up soft at Aintree to show his best form,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
Ballabriggs is the other 14/1 joint-favourite with Backstage, Niche Market, Oscar Time and The Midnight Club all next in the market at 16/1.
