Don’t Push It, who gave AP McCoy his first Grand National success last year, is one of five 16/1 co-favs with Coral for this year’s renewal, after 102 entries were unveiled for the Aintree highlight.
“Don’t Push It’s victory last April was extremely costly for bookmakers, and the many AP McCoy backers out there will be hoping for more of the same this year, although the betting suggests the sports personality of the year may face a tough choice between the 2010 Aintree hero and last month’s Coral Welsh National winner, Synchronised, also 16-1,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Elsewhere, Kempes has been well-backed for Sunday’s Irish Hennessy, and is now 7/1 (from 9/1) with Coral for the Leopardstown Grade One.
