Paul Ferguson two more tips for us for Thursday’s racing; Blackpool Billy (3.20 Catterick) and Arrayan (4.10 Hereford).
Although left with a welter burden to carry Arrayan (4:10) remains ahead of the handicapper and can follow up Saturday’s victory in the closing contest at Hereford on Thursday.
The six-year-old beat what looked a better field than this at Wincanton and, under a 7lb penalty, is taken to score again for David Pipe.
At Catterick Blackpool Billy (3:20) is another who is fancied to defy top-weight.
Before the season began Ferdy Murphy was mentioning this horse as a possible Arkle horse if we had a wet spring, so the trainer must be very hopeful here off a mark of just 108.
Twice a winner over hurdles in March 2008, he shaped well on his return from a lengthy lay-off at Kelso in November and the son of Overbury should have come on plenty for that outing.
