Paul Ferguson picks out two likely winners on Sunday: 1:10 Fairyhouse: Our Girl Salley and 1:30 Ffos Las: Fishoutofwater
Barry Geraghty rode a treble at Kempton yesterday and his sole mount at Fairyhouse on Sunday Our Girl Salley (1:10) should take plenty of beating.
A very smart mud-loving mare, she is two from two over timber to date and the triple bumper winner looked very impressive at Leopardstown over Christmas.
The drop back in trip should not be an issue and I was hugely surprised she opened up as big as 10/11 on Saturday evening. 5/6 with Bet365 at the time of writing, I expect her to go off much shorter, if the meeting passes a 7:30am inspection, so she is one to take an early price about.
Favourite backers will have plenty to get stuck into in the early races at Ffos Las and of the pick of the ‘shorties’ is Fishoutofwater (1:30) who can make a belated winning debut over hurdles.
A winner of a decent Hereford bumper last March, beating the useful Rose Of The Moon by 5 lengths, he went on to finish fourth to Megastar at Aintree and has since been bought by JP McManus.
Sunday’s selections:
1:10 Fairyhouse: Our Girl Salley
1:30 Ffos Las: Fishoutofwater
