Live on ESPN: Tues 19.45: William Hill rate Man City at 4/11 to beat Leicester, while Wolves and Stoke are also set for FA Cup success.
Manchester City looked vulnerable defensively against Wolves on Saturday, conceding three times and having shipped twice at Leicester in the pair’s FA Cup stalemate at the Walkers Stadium, Roberto Mancini’s men don’t exactly set the heart racing at 4/11 with William Hill as the pair renew hostilities at Eastlands in the subsequent replay.
The Premiership high-flyers should prevail of course and there’s really no mileage in siding with the visitors, despite a four-match unbeaten run, but we’re happy to seek value away from the match betting.
Firstly, given City’s recent lapses at the back, it’s not out of the question for the Foxes to get on the scoresheet and so Totesport’s 10/11 for both teams to find the net enjoys some appeal while Mancini’s men have plenty of goals in them and are a juicy 5/4 with Partybets to notch at least three times.
David Silva comes back into the team having missed the first match and only come on as a late substitute on Saturday, and the classy Spaniard can grab a goal. However, we’d want slightly better than the market best 6/4 at , to wish to get involved.
In the evening’s other two ties, the Premiership teams can make their quality count against Championship opposition. Stoke head to Cardiff on the back of a decent 2-0 win over Bolton and they’re 13/8 with Betfred to get the better of the inconsistent Bluebirds. Finally, Wolves are 3/4 with to send Doncaster packing at Molineux but partial to a narrow victory, Mick McCarthy’s side stand out at 11/4 (Stan James) to edge it by a one-goal margin.
Recommended Bets:
Man City to score three or more against Leicester – 5/4 (Partybets)
Stoke to beat Cardiff – 13/8 (Betfred)
Wolves to beat Doncaster by a one-goal margin – 11/4 (Stan James)
