Live on Setanta & BBC Scot: Sat 15.00 & Sun 15.00: Aberdeen and Celtic are 4.5 (7/2) with Betdaq to draw in the semi finals of the CIS Cup
Aberdeen have an ideal opportunity to hit back at Celtic in the CIS Cup semi-final following their narrow 1-0 defeat last weekend. The Dons are as big as 15/2 (Coral) to win in 90 minutes, and a tempting 4/1 (Stan James) to qualify.
Those odds need consideration following last week’s close call, especially as the Dons bounced back in midweek. Again they kept a clean sheet on Wednesday, and are 6/1 (bet365) to keep the Bhoys out, with 11/8 on show for restricting Celtic to one goal or less.
Meanwhile, Paddy Power go 20/1 for a 1-0 Dons’ win, while Betfred risk 7/4 for Craig Brown’s side winning on the handicap receiving a one-goal start.
As for a draw at 90 minutes, then Betdaq quote 4.5 (7/2) for a stalemate, with Totesport flagging up 10/11 about both teams finding the net.
Scott Vernon and Chris Maguire both missed scoring in midweek, but are 9/1 (William Hill) and 10/1 () respectively to break the deadlock at Hampden Park.
Rangers are Ladbrokes red-hot 2/5 jollies to beat Motherwell (7/1, 888sport) in Sunday’s second semi-final, and 5/4 with Partybets to win the trophy itself.
Considering it has been 31 games since the Well beat the Gers, it would take a leap of faith from punters to side with Stuart McCall’s side here, but a draw at Paddy Power’s 7/2 is another option.
However, backers not looking beyond a Rangers victory may take them to win after getting behind at half time with Totesport at 28/1 – a feat they achieved four times this term.
