Paul Nicholls will be looking to hit back at Nicky Henderson on Saturday when the illustrious Master Minded heads nine entries in Ascot’s showpiece event at 4/7 (William Hill), with stablemate Tchico Polos also making the journey to Berkshire.
The Seven Barrows camp enlist the aid of Petit Robin and Mad Max, with other top-class chasers Somersby, Gauvain, Crack Away Jack, Kalahari King and I’m So Lucky receiving entries at the five-day stage.
William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said, ‘After this weekend’s Henderson harvest, Paul Nicholls has a great chance to tip the scale further in his favour in a race which has been dominated by Ditcheat the last two runnings. With Master Minded back to his best, he’s our hot favourite to make it thrice.’
