Live on Skysports 1: Wed 03:00: England need a win in the 4th ODI tonight to avoid losing the 7-game series and are 6/5 (Betdaq) to do so.
3-0 down after 3 games, England’s chances of winning this 7-game series have drifted right out to 12/1 with Betfred as they must now win 4 games on the bounce.
Tonight isn’t a bad place to start then. Swann has gone home injured but that won’t effect the current line-up and the bowling still carries potential.
Shahzad, Tremlett and Woakes have provided some decent attack as a 2nd string but England will be boosted by Anderson’s return, he is 3/1 with William Hill to get the most wickets while Collingwood, who came in as a deat-heat in the 3rd ODI, is 10/1, also at Hills.
It’s England’s batting that has frustrated; they couldn’t chase 230 in the 2nd ODI and only set 214 in the 3rd so it’s time for some decent knocks from Pietersen (4/1, Ladbrokes, top score), Collingwood (10/1, 888sport) or Morgan (11/2, Sportingbet).
Australia will have a slightly more patriotic buzz to it on Australia Day so the home team will really fancy it at 4/5 (Paddy Power).
Powered on by Brett Lee (11/4 to be top wicket taker, Blue Square) and perhaps David Hussey (6/1 top score, bet365), they will be tricky to stop but England will be really desparate to get their foot back in the door and surely Anderson will be a massive lift.
