Paul Ferguson has three selections for us on Sunday – all at Huntingdon. Riverside Theatre (2.05), Skint (2.35) and Journeyman (3.05). Compare odds and bet at the best prices
Nicky Henderson provided us with a winner on Friday and the Lambourn handler is worth following at Huntingdon on Sunday, a track where he boasts a 33% strike-rate (28 winners from 85 runners) in the past five seasons.
Riverside Theatre (2:05) is fancied to land the feature contest, the Grade 2 Peterborough Chase, with conditions likely to be ideal.
As low as 10/1 for the King George on Boxing Day, the six-year-old, who loves decent ground and a flat track, needs to win this if he is to challenge the likes of Kauto Star.
Henderson saddled Kerada to win the 2m4f novices’ hurdle last year and he can land back-to-back runnings thanks to Skint (2:35) who should relish the step up in trip.
The Stratford bumper winner made a winning hurdles debut at Wincanton last month and runner-up, The Reformer, gave the form a boost when winning at Exeter last Sunday.
Henderson can round off a red-letter day in the concluding bumper, in which he saddles Journeyman (3:35).
The four-year-old looked pretty clueless during the majority of his debut at Worcester in May and he should have come on a ton for that initial experience.
Sunday’s selections:
2:05 Huntingdon: Riverside Theatre
2:35 Huntingdon: Skint
3:35 Huntingdon: Journeyman
