Higgins faces Mark Allen in what could be a very close contest indeed. Allen comes in as Coral’s 13/8 outsider and has done very well to see off Ding Junhui and Stuart Bingham to make it this far.
Higgins, on his return after a lengthy ban, has leapt into 7/4 fav (bet365) to win the tournament after Neil Robertson crashed out to Shaun Murphy.
The semi finals are still best of 17 and it could be very close; the bookies are on to it and Boylesports are offering just +1.5 frames for Allen at even money. It might be more tempting to split stakes about 9-8 (8/1) and 9-7 (7/1, both Betfred), to Higgins in the correct score market.
