William Hill are offering odds of 7/4 that Nick Clegg will cease to be Lib Dem Leader before the next General Election (2/5 still to be Leader).
Hills also offer 20/1 that he will have joined the Conservatives by the time the nation next goes to the polls. Under-pressure Clegg is also Even money favourite with Hills to be the next Party Leader to step down, with Ed Miliband 7/4 and David Cameron 3/1 outsider.
‘Mr Clegg’s fortunes and popularity have taken a dive since the public acclaimed him after the first high profile public debate before the last Election’ ‘ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
With the Lib Dems in turmoil over the tuition fee issue, bookmakers William Hill have slashed their odds for the next General Election to take place in 2011, from 10/1 to 4/1. ‘The current volatile political situation could destabilise the coalition, and if that were to happen another General Election would almost certainly not be far behind’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
