Paul Ferguson recommends Fleur De Vassy at Hereford (3.00); EP 5/2 and Sizing Mexico, over in the 2.45 at Thurles; EP 10/11
Venetia Williams does well at Hereford and it looks significant that the in form trainer is prepared to pitch Fleur De Vassy (3:00) into handicap company on her debut over fences at the track on Thursday.
The six-year-old, who lines up against her own sex, was a useful hurdler, but should make up into a better chaser and she looks to have been let in lightly.
Across the Irish Sea at Thurles, Sizing Mexico (2:45) is fancied to score at the second time of asking over hurdles, after a hugely encouraging debut a fortnight ago.
A winner between the flags a year ago, he scored on his rules debut in a Fairyhouse bumper the following month and looks a bright prospect.
Thursday’s selections:
2:45 Thurles Sizing Mexico
3:00 Hereford Fleur De Vassy
