Saludos won at 6/4 for Paul Ferguson on Sunday. Monday’s selection is Kasabadali in the 3.20 at Southwell
A fairly quiet start to the week, but with the Open Meeting now just days away, we don’t have long to wait until the action steps up a notch.
Oliver Sherwood has his string in fine shape at present, with five of his last 15 runners winning, and he also boasts a 26% strike-rate at Southwell over the past five seasons.
It might, therefore, be the right time to catch Kasbadali (3:20) who has useful bumper form to his name and he also shaped well behind Dare Me on his hurdles debut at Exeter last month. Early price: 7/4 bet365
The winner of that contest has scored again since, whilst Sweet Irony, who the selection beat in a Market Rasen bumper in May, shaped with promise on his hurdles debut at Wincanton on Saturday.
The step up in trip is also in Kasbadali’s favour and the five-year-old is taken to land what looks an above average contest by the track’s standards.
Monday’s selection:
3:20 Southwell: Kasbadali
