He split Little Josh (dead-heated with Weird Al on Sunday) and Edgbriar (recent Cheltenham winner) here in February before beating smart hurdler Mirage Dore over this trip at Carlisle.
A thorough stayer in the making, he has been given a chance by the handicapper with an opening mark of 131.
Maguire has a couple of interesting rides in the novice hurdles, the pick of which is Carlisle bumper winner Lively Baron, but he could be pretty short as there doesn’t appear much strength in depth among the opposition.
