Live on Skysports 2: Thu 19.30: Ronnie O’Sullivan is 6/5 at Paddy Power to beat Mark Selby and grab top spot ahead of the playoffs.
O’Sullivan, the only player still unbeaten, is also a very safe 4/7 to win in the ‘No Draw’ market (bet365), while Mark Selby comes in as a 5/2 chance on the normal outrights (Totesport).
O’Sullivan has shown why he is the king of the short and fast game, he should see this one out reasonably comfortably but needs to be wary of complacency against a capable Selby. Correct scores of 4-2 and 5-1 to Ronnie are 9/4 and 5/1 respectively (both Betfred) and the former, closer contest, would tempt. Lastly, over 4.5 breaks of 50+ is a good bet, even money with Paddy Power, as O’Sullivan consistently hits about 3 per fixture and Selby can make up the rest.
In the night’s other match, Shaun Murphy is 13/8 at Betfred to end Robertson’s Premier League season with a 3rd consecutive defeat, while the latter is 9/5 at Sportingbet to prevail. Murphy’s win last week was preceeded by 2 fighting draws and you’d expect a draw at the very least from him, making the 10/11 from Betfred on Murphy on the No Draw market a good, solid bet.
Robertson has plenty of quality so a close 4-2 win for Murphy pays 11/4 at Boylesports.
