Live on Skysports 1: Thu 14.00: Andy Murray is just 1/5 (Betfred) to beat David Ferrer but first up, Roger Federer faces Robin Soderling.
The final games of Group A in the ATP World Finals get underway today and Federer’s 1/4 quote at Boylesports reflects his crushing dominance over the Swede, 14 wins to 1.
Soderling’s only win has come on clay, his strongest surface, and he is 7/2 with Coral to win here to make it 2 wins from 3. With Murray likely to beat Ferrer, it would seem Soderling’s competition is coming to an early end. Federer can close this out 2-0; 4/6 with Paddy Power.
In the evening session at about 8pm, Andy Murray is a similarly short 1/5 at Ladbrokes to beat David Ferrer. This price is a little unfair on the Spaniard who actually has a winning record over the Brit.
Admittedly Ferrer, 9/2 at bet365, does excel on clay so Murray should see him off with no excuses but the feeling is that 1/5 is a little disrespectful. 2-1 to Murray is 10/3 at William Hill.
Nadal is now 9/4 2nd fav overall (Totesport) after beating Djokovic.
