Live on ESPN: Wed 19.30: Hearts’ home record leaves much to be desired and they welcome 9-star Celtic to Tynecastle tonight’s SPL.
Hearts are 11/2 with to try and reverse the awful 0-3 home loss to Kilmarnock but will be buoyed by the derby win at Hibs last Sunday. Celtic, meanwhile, aren’t short of inspiration as they smashed 9 passed hapless Aberdeen – the Hoops are 8/13 with Totesport, not an awful price for Celtic.
As can happen thought, a big win can actually dampen the following performance as players take their foot off or expect all teams to roll over in front of them. Celtic are a class above Hearts but don’t expect them to repeat the weekend feats, they are 11/4 (Boylesports) to win by 1 goal.
Elsewhere, Motherwell are a reasonable 19/20 with Betdaq to get a maximum at home to St Johnstone, which they can definitely achieve and Dundee United are 8/13 (Ladbrokes) to beat St Mirren – better still, back The Terrors to win to nil at 17/10 with Paddy Power.
