Live On Sky Sports 3: Thu From 05:00. Angus Loughran previews this week’s Singapore Open, JBWere Masters and Childrens Miracle Classic.
Martin Kaymer is best price 1/8 with Paddy Power to win the Race to Dubai and is 15/1 market leader (Sportingbet) for this week’s Singapore Open, which boasts a strong field also including Phil Mickleson.
I like the chances of Graeme McDowell, the US Open Champion, available at 16/1 with Betfred. Arjan Atwal is a player overpriced here at 80/1 with Boylesports while with the Italian golfers in such fine form at present, both Francesco Molinari (last week’s impresssive HSBC winner) at 16/1 with 888sport and young Matteo Mannasero at 55/1 (bet365) should also figure in this weeks betting calculations in Singapore.
It is amazing to think that Tiger Woods’ previous win was in last year’s Australian Masters and after showing decent but not winning form when finishing 6th in last weeks HSBC, Woods is a short price at 13/5 (Paddy Power) to record his first win of 2010 at this week’s JBWere Masters in Australia and thus avoid his first winless year as a pro. Camillo Villegas will be ideally suited to The Victoria Golf Club and looks a decent value bet at 18/1 with Skybet while Geoff Ogilvy (8/1 Ladbrokes) and Robert Allenby (9/1 Stan James) are the best hopes of the locals.
The PGA Tour concludes in Florida this week at the Childrens Miracle Classic with Rickie Fowler 17/1 (Betdaq) to gain a maiden win, he has an obvious chance to end 2010 with a fairytale win and should go well while Ryan Palmer catches my eye here at 30/1 (bet365) in what looks a really competive event to end a memorable year on PGA Tour, certainly for English Golfers.
