“Jumpers To Follow” author, Paul Ferguson selects Marden and Fidelis for victory on Tuesday.
Brian Meehan’s Marden (3:10) shaped with a great deal of promise on debut at Newmarket in August, where he looked a sure-fire future winner.
The Danehill Dancer colt kept on really well in a race that has worked out well and he sets the standard in the first division of Leicester’s 7f maiden.
Nearby at Huntingdon Fidelis (2:50) is the most interesting runner on the card.
I have kept tabs on the grey ever since he finished runner-up to the useful Lush Life in a Kempton bumper last April and it is a surprise he remains a maiden.
He has been the model of consistency over hurdles of late, but he looks a chaser and he jumped well on his sole start over fences to date.
The step up to 2m4f could be the making of him and he is worth supporting in the novices’ handicap chase.
Tuesday’s selections:
3:10 Leicester: Marden
2:50 Huntingdon: Fidelis
