Live on Skysports 2: Thu 19.30: The Spiceball Leisure Centre in Banbury is this week’s host as Ding can condemn Robertson’s woes.
Bottom placed Neil Robertson needs to win some frames but Ding Junhui is hardly the man to face to stop the rot. To be fair to Robertson, 15/8 with Skybet, he has only played twice in the competition so far and earned a good draw with Mark Williams last week but you would have to fancy the man sat 2nd in the table, Ding Junhui, who saw off Mark Selby 4-2 just 2 weeks ago. Junhui can be backed at 17/10 with Coral and Betfred put 9/10 about him if you play the ‘draw no bet’ market.
In the night’s other match, Mark Williams is a shade over evens at 21/20 (William Hill) to beat Marco Fu, himself an 11/4 chance with Boylesports. Fu lost badly to Selby last week but showed some glimpses of quality, especially at escaping snookers (and creating them). He will be encouraged that Mark Williams has fallen into a habit of drawing but the Welshman is still knocking the centuries in and should go on to take this one. 4-2 to Williams correct score for the brave, 12/5 with Skybet.
Recommended bets:
Ding Junhui to beat Neil Robertson – 17/10 (Coral)
Ding Junhui & Mark Williams double – 21/5 (Boylesports)
