Live on Skysports 1: Sat from 13.30: 4 more games on Saturday in the Heineken Cup, including Edinburgh v Northampton.
Edinburgh host Northampton at Murrayfield in front of the TV cameras at 13.30 on Saturday lunchtime and Rob Moffat’s Scotsmen have a good chance of putting one over the only English quarter finalists of last year. Edinburgh can be backed at 6/4 with Betdaq, while the visitors are 3/4 with Bwin. Interestingly, Murrayfield is some what of a fortress for Edinburgh, they have won their last 4 Heineken Cup matches here and will look to build on that record and the narrow 1 point loss away at Cardiff last weekend. Northampton started with an inauspicious close-fought victory over Castres last weekend which hardly settled cup nerves and their away form of 09/10 wasn’t dazzling; winning just 1 of 4 games played on the road. The outright on Edinburgh is for the brave punter and the handicap of +3 at 10/11 (Paddy Power) is slim but backable.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Bath are heavy odds-on 2/9 (Bet365) to win away in Aironi while Clermont are an interesting 13/8 with Paddy Power to win away at Racing Metro, themselves a 4/5 shot at Betdaq.
The other encounter of Saturday afternoon sees Munster take on Toulon. The Irish are 3/10 favs courtesy of Sportingbet and you would fancy the home team to put this one to bed with no problems. Toulon did get a valuable win over Ospreys last week but a trip to Thomond Park is always tricky.
