Ladbrokes have announced they are paying out on Paul Hanagan as winner of this year’s Jockeys’ Championship.
They have also opened their market on the 2011 race for the title, making Ryan Moore 5/4 favourite ahead of Kieren Fallon and Hanagan who are both quoted as 3/1 shots.
David Williams of Ladbrokes told betrescue.com: “It’s done and dusted as far as we’re concerned. The suspension for Hughes and his trip to the States have all but put paid to his aspirations and we reckon the battle is over.
“Obviously if Richard Hughes pulls off an extraordinary comeback we’ll take it on the chin but we think it’s time to give the Hanagan fans their money back.”
Ladbrokes also make Henry Cecil an 8/1 chance to win the trainer’s title in 2011.
