Following his highly impressive victory in the Royal Lodge at Ascot on Saturday, William Hill slashed the ods of Henry Cecil’s mount into 2/1 from 5s for May’s 2000 Guineas.
The son of Galileo maintained his unbeaten record in the Group Two contest fully justifying his odds on price with an awesome display of acceleration in annihilating the field.
Hills also quoted odds of 6-1 that the bay colt completes the Guineas/Derby double.
Spokeswoman for William Hill, Kate Miller told betrescue.com: ‘’That was quite simply one of the stand-out performances of the season. It wasn’t a field filled with tough opposition, but the manner of Frankel’s victory simply oozed class. We suspect that he may be more suited to the mile of the Guineas than the Derby, but as Sea the Stars proved, sometimes, regardless of trip, they’re simply just too good for the rest.’’
Meanwhile, fellow Ascot winner White Moonstone also kept her 100% winning record with victory in the Group One Fillies’ Mile, and is 5/1 (from 7s) favourite for the 1,000 Guineas at Coral.co.uk
