These players are used to battling in front of thousands of fans around the UK in major PDC tournaments, but they will be playing behind closed doors for a £200,000 prize fund. World number one Phil Taylor is odds on yet again at a best price 4/9 with Boylesports but I like the look of two value bets in the field. Aldershot’s James Wade is an attractive 14/1 chance with Sportingbet to be the tournament winner and an each-way selection could pay off.
Group Three winner Gary Anderson 18/1 with Victor Chandler to win the overall event and that, too is a good each-way chance with half the odds being paid out on the first three home. He’s my suggested bet.
Championship League Darts is streamed live around the world to subscribers of the PDC’s official website and also via bet365.com. Play takes place behind closed doors at Crondon Park GC in Essex.
