Football Betting: Live On Sky Sports 2: Sat 12:45
There are four more televised matches in the Premier League this weekend. The Star’s Chief Football writer marks your Bank Holiday card.
Blackburn V Arsenal: Sky Sports 2: Sat 12:45
ARSENE Wenger hates going to Blackburn (9/2 Betfred) and hates playing against Sam Allardyce teams, so this will be a tough game for the Gunners.
But amazingly the bookies make Wenger’s side odds-on – Victor Chandler have the best price at 4/5. For me, with old Spurs boy Paul Robinson in goal, 14/5 for the draw with Stan James is the best bet of the day.
Man United V West Ham: ESPM: Sat 17:30
At Old Trafford it is just a case of how many this weekend. Manchester United (1/6 Paddy Power)will beat Avram Grant’s West Ham United who have no chance and I can’t see any money being taken at Betfred even at massive odds of 22/1 for an upset.
Grant just can’t seem to get to grips with his side and has bought poorly. It would not be a surprise to see Scott Parker leaving for Spurs before the transfer window closes now they are in the Champions League. I reckon 888Sports 10/1 for a 4-0 Manchester United win is attractive.
Bolton V Birmingham: Sky Sports 1: Sun 13:30
Bolton (23/10 Stan James) against Birmingham (13/5 Bet365) will be a tough one to call, especially as Bolton drew with Fulham 0-0 last time at home and the draw should attract a few quid at 12/5 at Ladbrokes.
That said, Owen Coyle is getting some good football out of his team at the moment and I’m going for a home in and there goals or more at 6/5 at Canbet.
Aston Villa V Everton: Sky Sports 1: Sun 16:00
It is difficult to know at the moment which Aston Villa (13/8 William Hill) team is going to turn up, and after two defeats they are starting to wobble without a full-time manager.
Everton’s start has been surprisingly slow, but I fancy 7/4 away win for David Moyes’ team with Paddy Power with a saver on a 2-2 draw at 16/1 with Sportingbet
