Football Betting: Stan James have cut Barcelona from 3’s to 5/2 favourites for the Champions League after a favourable draw, Spurs are out to 40/1 with Blue Square.
2010/11’s Champions League draw was made yesterday and Barcelona and Chelsea can be fairly content with their lot. The Spanish giants are generally 5/2 (Betfred, Stan James) to retain the title, down from 3/1, after a comfortable draw for them.
Chelsea can also be pleased with their group and have been chipped into 6/1 from 13/2 at Paddy Power.
Manchester United have been handed a reasonable group that they should have no trouble with and have been handed a ‘local’ fixture with Rangers, who made a bit of a mess last time they were down in Manchester. United are 8/1 at Bet365.
New-boys Tottenham have a tricky draw, facing current holders Inter Milan but can take heart from the presence of FC Twente who will surely wilt without Steve McClaren in charge. Spurs are pushed out slightly to 40/1 (Totesport).
