GOLF BETTING: Live On Sky Sports 3: Thu from 10:30: Angus Loughran previews this week’s Scottish Open and John Deere Classic and flags up his best bets for the tournaments.
Graeme McDowell is in the form of his life with his US Open triumph followed by his weekend blitz of 64 and 63 which saw him land the Welsh Open at Celtic Manor, the venue for this years Ryder Cup. He finished just out of the places in the JP McManus pro-am at Adare in Ireland and looks great each value this
week at 20/1 (Coral) for the Scottish Open, having won this event in 2008, which is also a huge advantage. Ernie Els looks a decent bet at 13/10 with Totesport in a match bet against Masters Champion Phil Mickleson while Colombian Camilo Villegas looks great each way value at 40/1 with Skybet.
At the John Deere Classic, Rickie Fowler at 28/1 (Victor Chandler) looks decent each way value and it surely won’t be long before he is in the winners enclosure. This weeks event looks wide open with defending Champion Steve Stricker 16/1 at Betfred. KJ Choi is
available at 20/1 (Bet365) and seems to be getting ready for next weeks Open Championship, where I rate American big-hitter Dustin Johnson a great each way bet at 80/1 with Ladbrokes.
