F1 BETTING: Seb Vettel won in Valencia and got his and Red Bull’s season firmly back in the slipstream as he stalks the two McClaren drivers for the F1 title.
Lewis Hamilton remained at around the 13/8 mark (Totesport) for the F1 Driver’s Championship after he finished 2nd at the Euro GP in Valencia. That result is now giving real weight to the claims that Hamilton can retake his crown back from teammate Jenson Button. Button’s excellent 3rd (from 7th on the grid) kept him 2nd in the title hunt and 8/1 for the Championship (Sportingbet).
Race winner Sebastien Vettel got a much needed maximum haul under his belt to keep tabs on the two Englishmen at the top. Vettel closes back to 5/2 with Ladbrokes and Hamilton will need to keep an eye on the Red Bull, especially after a weekend where people were playing down it’s chances.
Red Bull are back in to 5/4 at Betfred for the Constructor’s, but a McClaren two-three, the 3rd consecutive double podium finish for McClaren, still has them 30 points clear and 17/20 at Stan James to take the championship. Ferrari have some serious work to do if they are to overhaul their defecit and are 14/1 at Sportingbet to do so.
All eyes now turn to Silverstone in about 11 days and if the Brit boys can gain yet another double podium for McClaren.
