HORSE RACING: Goldikova secured the Queen Anne Stakes on the first day of Royal Ascot, holding off Paco Boy and now looks ahead to more success at the Breeder’s Cup.
William Hill have installed Goldikova as a 7-4 chance to become the first horse to ever win three consecutive Breeders’ Cup Mile races after the French mare completed an impressive win in the Queen Anne Stakes.
Handler Freddie Head highlighted further targets for the five-year-old, in tandem with her campaigns of previous years. En-Route to America, the daughter of Anabaa will compete in the Prix Rothschild, and Prix Jacques Le Marois.
The Breeder’s Cup Mile is in November at Churchill Downs in America.
