POLITICS BETTING: Bookmakers across the UK have seen massive amounts of money placed on this year’s General Election with a Hung Parliament now the fav outcome. Check latest election odds.
Only yesterday, the Conservatives were 5/6 with William Hill to win an overall majority but today, now the polls are open, it would seem that the bookies have reversed their decision and now make a Hung Parliament 4/6 odds on fav (Ladbrokes).
The Conservatives are back out to 11/8 with Paddy Power as the news trickled through of massive amounts of undecided voters which could reflect on the final polls. Labour’s time seems up as they are available as large as 50/1 with Betdaq.
The Conservatives are still a shoe in for the most seats though, 1/12 with William Hill and Coral. William Hill also offer 4/6 on Gordon Brown resigning before Saturday, despite a slim chance of forming a Lab-Lib coalition.
Interestingly, there are growing rumours of a second General Election in 2010 if the Hung Parliament should draw out over many months. William Hill offer 5/2 about a 2nd Election this year.
