The Quarter Finals are underway and O’Sullivan is 2/1 clear fav with Totesport . Compare snooker odds
After the exits of John Higgins and Stephen Maguire in round 2, The Rocket has been left as clear fav for the 2010 World Championships. After beating Williams 13-10, O’Sullivan reacted in an almost typically volatile manner when asked about his self criticism; “If someone says that to me again I’m going to stop the interview, because I’m fed up of hearing that”.
O’Sullivan now meets Mark Selby and heads into that encounter as 4/7 fav with 888sport. O’Sullivan has conceded frames against slightly inferior opposition so perhaps over 22.5 frames at 1/1 with Stan James seems a sensible bet.
Steve Davis meets Australian Neil Robertson, the only non-UK player left in the tournament, and veteran Davis is 8/1 with Bet365 to progress to the semis.
Ali Carter plays Shaun Murphy in what promises to be a very closely fought quarter final. Murphy is 11/2 with Betfred for the championship and Betdaq have Murphy down as a 4/7 shot to win this tie. That is perhaps a little harsh on Ali Carter and Paddy Power offer an excellent 4/5 that the winning margin (either way) will be less than 4.5 frames, ie 13-9 or closer.
In the last quarter final, unseeded Graeme Dott takes on Mark Allen. Allen has not encountered a problem so far and this is his 3rd straight match against an unseeded player. Allen is 8/1 with Bodog to win outright and 2/9 with Stan James to progress here.
