FOOTBALL BETTING: Chelsea have regained fav status to win the Premier League at 8/13 with Paddy Power. The Blues are 2 points clear after beating Man United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United went into the weekend as odds-on favourites but have been eased to 13/5 with Stan James after a somewhat lacklustre performance at home to Ancelotti’s men. Bet365 have priced Arsenal at 11/2 but with only 5 games to go for the top placed teams, time is surely running out.
Liverpool are out to 4/1 with Ladbrokes for 4th place after drawing at Birmingham. This means Man City stay favs at 5/6 (Betfred), only 1 point ahead of Tottenham. However, a quick glance at the run-ins shows Spurs must play the current top 3 and Man City, therefore Betdaq have Spurs at 10/3 for 4th place. Ladbrokes move Aston Villa out to 12/1 as the last Champion’s League place seems to be edging out of reach for them this season.
Burnley are pretty much guaranteed for the drop, especially after their dismal weekend showing, Betdaq are 1/14 for them to go down. Hull and West Ham are most likely to fight to avoid the last relegation place. Boylesport put 10/11 on Hull to return to the Championship and 6/4 on West Ham. The Tigers do have a game in hand but at the bottom that definitely doesn’t mean points in hand.
Wigan still hover only 4 points from the drop, 5/1 to go down with William Hill. Bolton and Wolves have probably done enough to stay up and, coupled with reasonable recent displays, are both 16/1 to go down (888sports).
