West Ham travel to Molineux tonight looking to complete the double over Wolves. Chris Hutcheon previews this relegation six pointer.
West Ham have lost four in a row but as three of those defeats were away at the trio of teams chasing the title, Gianfranco Zola’s men won’t be too downbeat.
Back at home, against fellow strugglers Wolves, the Hammers will subsequently expect to ease their relegation worries with a three-point haul and unanimously making them odds-on, bookies are confident that they will do just that.
However, Mick McCarthy’s Wolves have been a little more solid of late and have taken four points from consecutive away games at Burnley and Aston Villa so they won’t lie down at Upton Park and they look far better value at 4/1 with Paddy Power than the hosts, who are just 4/5 at best with Victor Chandler.
At 21/20 (William Hill), they can certainly avoid defeat in East London, where bet365 quote the draw at 13/5 and Ladbrokes post 9/4 against tireless Wolves marksman Kevin Doyle getting on the scoresheet.
In the Championship, punters could do worse than back a draw (23/10, 888Sport) at Bloomfield Road, where Blackpool and Swansea lock horns while Scunthorpe, at evens with Betdaq, and QPR (5/6, Totesport) can register home wins at the expense of Peterborough and Derby respectively.
